Equipment services and stores

Our equipment stores provide a service to patients in the community who require specialist equipment to help with everyday life.

We loan out a wide range of equipment from walking sticks/frames, wheelchairs, bath hoists and shower chairs to grabbers, specialist cushions, slide sheets and commodes. These specialist items are aids for daily living which make a real difference to our patients’ lives; they help people maintain their independence and ultimately stay in their own home for longer.

Equipment can be loaned for short periods of time, for example after discharge from hospital, or for longer periods for those who need more permanent help. Equipment may be requested by district nurses, occupational therapists or physiotherapists and is provided either by the NHS or via social services funding.

Please return any medical equipment you no longer need. All items returned will be fully sterilised and cleaned before being loaned out to other patients.

Equipment collections and returns are available Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm / Saturday, 10am - 4pm

Assessments can be made Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10am - 2pm / Tuesday & Thursday, 2pm - 6pm / Saturday, 10am - 4pm
