Together for Childhood
NSPCC Grimsby's Together for Childhood Centre provides activities to help parents develop and sustain more positive parenting skills and better relationships with their children and to ensure children and young people have positive coping strategies to help them to overcome adversity and thrive. We work with children and their families, and in partnership with the local workforce and community to keep children safe.
To understand the difference we're making, we carry out research and evaluation activities with children, families, the workforce and our partners to get their views – improving our services to meet their needs.
Early evidence indicates that working directly with local community members and organisations is helping us reach more children and families who need our help. We make a difference by:
- building relationships with community members and local organisations in East and West Marsh so we can understand and respond to their needs
- Empowering parents and carer givers to ask questions, talk about wider issues and learn about how to prevent child abuse
- developing new projects as part of Together for Childhood to help young people recognise abuse and talk about their experiences.
Based at Freshney Green Primary Care Centre, Sorrel Road, Grimsby, DN34 4GB
